The temperature, light reading and status of various Homeeasy switches in my home.\r\n\r\nThe unit is an Arduino with an Ethernet shield. \r\n\r\nThe Computer is my main desktop and is either on or off.\r\n\r\nComputer2 is my mobile when wifi is enabled and a webserver (iJetty or kws) is running.\r\n\r\nRubbish is the number of bags of rubbish collected with my litter-picker since 21st September 2006, when I started taking a photo of each bag and auto-numbering them as I put them on my computer. I pick up rubbish as I cycle or walk around Cambridge. Note: I now take photos with the mobile, so need to update this with a mobile app to count each photo.\r\n\r\nUptime is in hours since last reboot of the Arduino.\r\n\r\nThe temperature is of my bedroom, beside my main computer, and is in °C measured with an I2C sensor with a resolution of 1°C. \r\n\r\nThe LDR reading is from a 10-bit ADC, so 1023 is dark, and 100 or less is bright light.\r\n\r\nThe status of the heaters, fan and lights is determined by listening to the Homeeasy signals on 433.92Mhz.\r\n\r\nSince the Homeeasy HE300 unit can control up to 17 devices, I use 3 switches to send commands to the VLC player on my computer via EventGhost - allowing me to remotely control my DVDs or music.\r\n\r\nWhen I go to bed, I press a button on the Homeeasy HE300 unit to indicate "gone to bed" = 2. If I wake up in the middle of the night, another button puts this back to 1. When Pachube reads the value, I set it back to 2. When I get up, another button sets the value back to 0. \r\n\r\nI hope to add the electricity readings from the CurrentCost electricity meter soon. These will be read by a separate Arduino. I may add the water and gas readings, too.\r\n\r\nOther ideas include doorbell rings (Byron, 433.92MHz), cumulative on times, distance cycled/walked/by bus/train (from GPS logs), hours of dancing (from GPS logs and locations of dance venues) ...
